There's an interesting article in a NY Times op-ed piece titled "The Sting of Ignorance" in which Harvard Medical School professor Jerry Avorn details the importance of learning from the health experiences of ordinary people, not just expert medical information. In it he details why "We need an unbiased, efficient system to get the word out to practitioners on what works best."


It is an interesting concept and I look forward to the results of this new experiment in crowdsourcing.
