- @DrAnasYounes Anas Younes, MD, is a lymphoma expert and professor of medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Younes is a strong proponent of the use of social media to better educate the public and patients. He tweets an average of seven links each day, mainly on cancer (especially lymphoma), and is a frequent contributor to MD Anderson's Cancerwise blog.
- @hayeslat Brandon Hayes-Lattin, MD, is a husband, father, ski racing enthusiast, and cyclist. Dr. Hayes-Lattin's own experience as a young adult cancer survivor and as an oncologist who cares for many young adults with blood cancers has made him a leader in the new discipline of adolescent and young adult (AYA) oncology. He is the senior medical advisor to the Lance Armstrong Foundation's LIVESTRONG Young Adult Alliance and the medical director of the Oregon Health & Science University Knight Cancer Institute Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology program.
- @DaVinciThyroid Chris Holsinger, MD, is an associate professor of surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Holsinger’s surgical practice focuses on the surgical management of benign and malignant diseases of the thyroid, parathyroid, and head and neck. - @gorskon David Gorski, MD, PhD, is a surgical oncologist at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, where he specializes in breast cancer surgery. Dr. Gorski is also an associate professor of surgery and member of the faculty of the graduate program in cancer biology at Wayne State University. He has accumulated considerable experience refuting quackery and pseudoscience online, and his Web site, Science-Based Medicine, consistently ranks among the top ten medical blogs.
- @david65 David Loeb, MD, PhD, is pediatric oncologist and scientist working as the director of the Johns Hopkins Sarcoma Center. Doctor David's Blog is "for anyone who is interested in pediatric oncology, cancer research, cancer treatments, and breaking medical news." Dr. Loeb says he loves kids and can't imagine doing anything else with his life. Ah, a man who's happy in his work--we have the feeling that makes him a great physician!
