She is the author of Codeblog: Tales of a Nurse, a blog started in 2002 geared to nursing and health care experiences. She also posts stories submitted by other nurses, doctors, patients, and paramedics. “We all have stories!” writes the San Francisco Bay–area mom.
- @harik108 Hari Khalsa, BSN, MSN, CNP, is a family nurse practitioner in Boston who is also trained in medical acupuncture, homeopathy, and ayurvedic medicine. Passionate about patient advocacy and health care navigation, she started Heathcare Whisperer to assist people in getting access to the best possible care.
- @Visiting_Nurse Heather N. McKenzie, MBA, BSN, RN, is senior director of Clinical Education and Quality Initiatives for Visiting Nurse Associations of America (VNAA), responsible for educational programming. She’s had more than 15 years of health care experience—including home health care, acute care, long-term care, and managed care—and assisted with the development of health information technology and informatics course curriculum for the Maryland Association of Community Colleges. She blogs at The Visiting Nurse about home health, hospice, public health nursing, “and anything else that comes along the way.”
- @hollymedic Holly Bronson is a registered nurse at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida. She has worked as a paramedic and as a transcriptionist and registrar for other medical centers.
- @howlandhealth Wendie Howland, RN, MN, CRRN, CCM, CNLCP, had a career in critical care at world-class medical centers before becoming a life care planner for catastrophic and high-expense chronic conditions. Her company, Howland Health Consulting, offers help with life care plans and medical cost projections for complex medical or legal cases. She holds numerous certifications and belongs to several organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners, where she serves as editor of its journal.
